I have always loved traveling and emerging myself into an unfamiliar culture. I was lucky enough to be able to live in Portugal (Madeira) for a year while completing my MHCI program allowing me to go back and forth between European countries quite often. Traveling has made me realize one thing: people are essentially the same no matter where you go. People want the same things - they want a good user experience. Whether you are a tourist or a worker, a smile indicates a good experience whereas a frown indicates the opposite. Traveling helped me to further establish my goal for wanting to use my design and research skills to create a better human experience for everyone.
